GQ - Rolliefest 2025

My handmade watch mat also showed up in GQ’s Rolliefest 2025 coverage, which highlighted the event’s unique mix of vintage style, personality, and community.

What caught my attention most about GQ’s take was how they captured the people behind the watches the atmosphere, the energy, the individuality. It’s humbling to see a small detail from Slipshod Leather woven into that environment.

Every mat I make is made by hand from full-grain leather and finished to develop a natural patina over time. They’re meant to complement the beauty of mechanical watches, not compete with them, so it’s fitting to see one quietly serving its purpose in scenes like these. A major shoutout to Taylor Pickard at South House Brewing in Nashville, GA for making this a surreal reality for me.
